GIS or Geographic Information Systems is a framework for gathering, managing, and analyzing data. Allowing students the opportunity to learn to use ArcGIS and other GIS tools will provide them with the opportunity to be employable right out of high school.  GIS is based on the following questions:
  • What is the problem?
  • Why is it a problem there?
  • What can be done?
Allowing students to strengthen their inquiry skills and learn to work with technology and those around them to solve current issues in their community or the world. GIS, also, provides lessons and activities for grades 4-12 and for almost every subject area. These lessons can be used as-is or altered to fit your needs in the classroom.
